Dr. Pooja Patel, D.O.
Owner & Medical Director
Dr. Pooja Patel is a board-certified D.O. and rheumatologist with a deep-rooted passion for aesthetic medicine. As the Owner and Medical Director of Zenova Med Spa, she blends her extensive clinical expertise with a true love for the art of transformation. With a background in internal medicine and rheumatology, Dr. Patel brings a meticulous, safety-first approach to every treatment offered at Zenova—ensuring every service is not only effective but performed with the highest medical standards.
Driven by both science and creativity, Dr. Patel views aesthetics as a form of artistry, where subtle enhancements can lead to profound boosts in confidence. She finds her greatest joy in seeing patients walk away glowing—both inside and out.
Outside the spa, she’s a proud wife and mom to a spirited five-year-old son. Whether she’s at work helping clients look and feel their best, or at home enjoying family life, Dr. Patel’s warmth, integrity, and eye for detail are at the heart of everything she does.
Niko Angulo, BSN, RN
Aesthetic Nurse Injector
Niko Angulo is a highly skilled aesthetic nurse injector with a deep commitment to safety, artistry, and clinical excellence. A proud graduate of Northern Illinois University, Niko began his career in emergency and outpatient medicine before discovering his passion for aesthetic care. Since then, he has become a trusted injector across multiple renowned med spas throughout the Chicagoland area.
At Zenova Med Spa, Niko administers the full range of injectable treatments, including Botox and dermal fillers. He specializes in full facial balancing, natural-looking injectables, and biostimulatory treatments like Sculptra. His precision, aesthetic eye, and gentle approach consistently earn the trust of clients seeking subtle yet transformative results. He regularly advances his education through national conferences and hands-on trainings with top aesthetic brands.
In addition to his work with clients, Niko also enjoys mentoring newer injectors, sharing his knowledge and experience to help others grow in the field of aesthetic medicine. Her approach is both intuitive and deeply informed by years of hands-on work alongside nurses, laser technicians, and medical directors. Outside of work, Barbara is a dedicated mother of three active children who keep her busy with their sports schedules. She proudly embraces her role as a weekend soccer mom, balancing her professional expertise with a life full of energy, family, and commitment.
